Hi folks, if you've heard the rumours, I'm happy to report they're true - Kajagoogoo have reunited !! It has probably been one of the longest divorces in British 80's Pop-Music, but finally after a staggering 25 years and I might add, with all five original members on board - we have remarried and renewed our vows ;-)

No one is more surprised than me about the Kajagoogoo reunion, amazing really!! I was resigned to the fact that it would probably never happen, especially after the previous false starts in 1998 & 2003. For years we have barely spoke then suddenly there we were in February 2008 at the house of our new manager reminiscing, joking and discussing the future - WOW !! I think perhaps he has banged all our heads together and shook off the dust n' crap. I think too we have all realised that life is NOT a rehearsal !!
I am genuinely excited about performing the old catalogue again - some of which I haven't sang for 20 years (double WOW). How did that happen, I'm only in my mid 20's surely ;-)
I have been really overwhelmed by the reaction of fans from all over the world who are sooooooo enthusiastic - it's fantastic to know we have pleased so many people. Now we have several new challenges ahead of us and I'm relishing them all, especially getting down to writing some HOT new toons - which after all, is the main we reason we teamed up all those years ago (1981).
2008 is already turning out to be a very interesting year - can't wait to show you the fab new photos we did last week with the maestro photographer 'Mike Prior' - have a great spring and summer everyone - see u soon ;-)

EMI/Virgin Records (UK) to release new 80's compilation next week.
'The Ultimate 80's Collection' features 101 hits and is five-disc collection featuring a range of diverse recording artists from Cliff Richard ('Wired for Sound') to Limahl ('Never endingStory').
Some successful artists from this decade are still belting them out including Kylie ('Hand on your Heart', 'I Should be so Lucky') and David Bowie ('Let's Dance', 'Ashes to Ashes') and there are plenty of golden-oldie-radio regulars such as Yazoo ('Don't Go'), Alexander O'Neil ('Criticize') and Madness ('Our House').

on Oct 31st.
Other international artists confirmed are Tony Hadley (former lead singer of Spandau Ballet) and Paul Young plus several Italian artists.

VH1 (UK) will repeat their broadcast of 100 Greatest Songs Of The 80s on Sun 5th Nov at 09.00 (UK time) with Limahl co-presenting (see directly below).
The programme will also be broadcast on the UK freeview channel TMF (The Music Factory) at some point in the near future.

Limahl has just finished filming for the new VH1 (UK) show 100 Greatest Songs Of The 80s.
He will present the songs from position 100 - 75. Other presenters on the show are Bananarama, Clare Grogan (former lead singer of Altered Images) and Toyah Wilcox. First broadcast in the UK is tentatively scheduled for Saturday 23rd Sept at 13.00 (GMT).
He has also been filmed for the American version of this show with VH1 America. Limahl was interviewed about 'Too Shy' and made comments about other songs/artists in the programme.
The American version has a very different set of songs and is tentatively scheduled for broadcast in the USA on Oct 30th at 9pm (EST). VH1 (UK) may also broadcast this version later in the year.

Limahl has just signed a new recording/production deal with successful German producer Thorsten Brötzmann. The brand new single 'Tell me why' (co -written by Limahl/T Brötzmann/A. Geringas/Ivo Mohring) is scheduled for release in early 2006 by Germany's ZYX Music.
Initially, it will be released in Germany/Austria/Switzerland but sales will almost certainly be possible on the internet from the usual sites like Amazon, etc.
More details to follow on single as we get them.
There are 'live' shows already confirmed for 2006 but will add them to the site soon......in the meantime, have a great Xmas.

Good news from Germany, the Limahl Fan Club Website has been nominated for a "Visitor Web Award" by www.besucher-award.de.
There are twenty websites nominated each month in several categories. The Limahl Fan Club is in the category "Unterhaltung" (entertainment) and after two weeks of voting it is still in the lead.
We hope that they can continue this success until the end of July when the voting closes.

Yesterday Limahl filmed some reactions for ITV 1 about his appearance on 'Hit me baby one more time' some of which will be used in the second episode of the series, broadcast tonight (probably the results segment).
Great news, since we went online in March, there have already been over 120 positive 'guest book' entries and the site has had over 8000 hits, which is fantastic, Limahl is literally blown away by your support, interest and genuine warmth, a few people have suggested a 'Forum' and we've taken notice......we hope to add one in the next couple of weeks.
